Body Rigidity

Body Rigidity

Body rigidity is one of the keys for the safety, comfort and durability of a car. The less a vehicle "twists" on uneven road surfaces or when cornering at speed, the safer its road characteristics are. Rigidity varies according to different types of body. Generally, the structure of an open-top car cannot be as rigid as that of a closed body. The occupants enjoy high body rigidity as well as outstandingly low interior noise levels and a high-quality, precisely finished interior. From the outside, minimal and uniform gap dimensions and smooth surfaces in all areas bear witness to the high quality standards of Volkswagen models. In addition to this, high body rigidity also forms the basis for outstanding crash safety and a significant reduction in interior noise.
